Face to Face or Online Counselling?

Benefits of Face-to-Face Therapy

Personal Connection: In-person interactions can hold a stronger therapeutic relationship. I can more easily read body language, facial expressions, and other non-verbal cues, which are integral to understanding emotions.

Distraction-Free Environment: My therapy room is a neutral, private space designed to support focused, uninterrupted communication which allows us both to remain fully present in the moment.

Routine and Commitment: For some clients, the act of going to a physical space helps create a sense of structure and routine, which can be beneficial for maintaining long-term therapy engagement.

Benefits of Online Therapy

Flexibility: You can schedule sessions around your work or family life, without having to travel. This can cut down on time and costs reaching the practice.

Accessibility: Ideal for people in rural or remote areas  and can also be beneficial for those with physical limitations, social anxiety, or transportation difficulties.

Comfort: Being at home can make some clients feel more relaxed and comfortable, encouraging them to be more open with communication.

Both online and face-to-face therapy offer unique advantages, and the best choice depends on your own individual needs and preferences. Some people may even choose to combine both options, starting with face-to-face sessions and transitioning to online therapy as they become more comfortable with the process or starting with online and moving to face-to-face therapy to accommodate a busy schedule.
